For these purposes, pseudonymised usage profiles are created and cookies are used. Information about your use of Ferrum's website collected in the cookie, such as

This information is used in order to assess usage of the website, to compile reports about website activities, and to perform other services connected with website and internet usage for the purposes of market research and designing these internet sites to meet our users’ requirements. This information is also sometimes passed to third parties, where this is legally prescribed, or where third parties are contracted to process this data. In addition, you can prevent the data recorded by the cookie and data associated with your use of Ferrum's website (including your IP address) from being transmitted to and processed by Google by downloading and installing the browser plug-in available via this link:

The links on Ferrum's website to Facebook and other social media platforms work like normal links. As long as the links are not clicked on and you therefore do not leave Ferrum's website and navigate within the browser to, for example, Facebook, no user data will be transmitted to these social media platforms.
Where legal retention obligations exist, the relevant personal data will be stored for the length of time legally required. Once this legally-required retention period expires, we will assess if there is any further need to process the personal data. If there is no further need, the data is deleted.
Your personal data will only ever be disclosed to a third party if this is necessary for the purposes of fulfilling a contract with you, if disclosing the data is permitted having weighed the relevant interests, if we are legally obliged to disclose the information, or you have given your consent for us to do so. However, your data will never be sold on.
Within the company, access to your data will only be given to those persons that require it to fulfil our contractual and legal obligations. Service providers employed by us can also access your personal data for these purposes.
This includes companies providing IT services, logistics, printing services,
telecommunications, debt collection, advice and consulting, and sales and marketing.
We take appropriate technical and organisational security measures in order to protect your personal data from unauthorised access and misuse. These measures include issuing instruction documentation, training, IT and network security solutions, access controls and restrictions, encryption of data carriers and transmissions, pseudonymisation, and monitoring.
You have the right to complain to a data protection supervisory authority about the way we process your data. The responsible authority for private individuals in Switzerland is the Eidgenössische Datenschutz- und Öffentlichkeitsbeauftragte (EDÖB) (Feldeggweg 1, 3003 Bern, Switzerland).
