Our company has history and traditions going back many years. Our customers and business partners have relied on us and our services for 100 years.
The Ferrum Code of Conduct applies to all staff members of the Ferrum Group worldwide. Local supplements to this Code of Conduct are allowed but they may not fall short of the minimal standards set forth here. A reservation is made for mandatorily applicable law.
We obligate ourselves to integrity in all our business activities and respect the laws and regulations in force. For Ferrum there is no „business at any price“. Anyone not abiding by this principle does not belong at Ferrum.
We do not bribe and we cannot be bribed, neither in dealing with officials and representatives of the public service nor amongst our business partners. We do not pay bribes (nor any „facilitation payments“) and do not accept any kickbacks (refunds into „own pocket“ or for third parties) for personal enrichment.
Appropriate and socially conventional gratuities in business dealings, as a sign of appreciation, gratitude or politeness, are allowed. Gratuities may not have any connection with an (upcoming) business closing. Cash gratuities are forbidden. We do not accept any gifts or invitations if we would be influenced in that way in our conduct in relation to the giver or the inviter. Nor do we engage in any such gratuities in order to unduly influence our counterparty. Gratuities must be transparent (gratuities sent to private addresses are not allowed).
We always disclose potential or existing conflicts of interest. We are aware of our loyalty obligation to Ferrum.
We cooperate with business partners who share our values. It is our obligation to know our business partners and make certain of their integrity.
We respect fair competition and do not make any anti-competitive agreements about prices, terms, territories, markets, quantities, customers or other issues sensitive in competition law with our competitors or rivals. Nor do we exchange any information on such subjects with our competitors and rivals. This also applies in the framework of professional or trade associations.
We do not intentionally damage the assets and property rights of Ferrum.
Secret and confidential business about Ferrum or its customers remain strictly confidential and may not be abused and, in particular, may not be passed on to third parties.
We respect the intellectual property of third parties and protect the proprietary rights of Ferrum.
Violations against the rules of laws or this Code of Conduct, as well as unsuccessful attempts to do so, are not acceptable and will have civil-law and/or criminal law consequences. We report violations of laws or of our own rules that have been discovered or are suspected to corporate management. Anyone reporting in good faith breaches of rules committed by others or suspected need not fear any consequences.
