Retrofit Scraper centrifuges - Control system Siemens S7

Siemens S5 and Reliance control systems have been discontinued by the manufacturers - Ferrum offers a Retrofit for these control systems.
Control systems supplied by Reliance Electric between the years 1989 and 1995 as well as all series S5 control systems from Siemens have been discontinued. For individual subassemblies Siemens is offering repairs or replacements until 2020, which does not however guarantee spare parts availability. Using the state-of-the-art Siemens TIA platform opens new possibilities.
Retrofit for all Scraper centrifuges manufactured in 1989 or later, for older models upon request
(Precondition: availability of PLC)
Electronic components increasingly show a lower minimum supply period, which has a negative effect on the delivery period. Additionally, repair costs are very high and increasing continuously.
As a result, the retrofit has the following advantages:

- Maximum spare parts availability through use of the S7 control system
- Shorter plant downtimes due to faster replacement of defective components
Lower Maintenance costs
- Stock-keeping of discontinued electronic components no longer required
- PLC program code is secured on a mem¬ory card to ensure a quick restart after a failure
- Rapid access and repair by a Ferrum technician using the latest standard program
Expandable with remote maintenance
- Optional upgrading of the control system with a remote maintenance module (WAN / WLAN / 3G) for quick trouble-shooting access, expandable to all connected fieldbus nodes
Upgradeable with the latest frequency converters for main and auxiliary drives
- Optional module for regenerative braking units for efficient energy saving and avoidance of heat development when using brake resistors
- Easy-to-understand status messages local, via the HMI or via the DCS interface by connecting the frequency converter to the PLC via ProfiNet
