Ferrum Expands to Africa with New Subsidiary in Abidjan, Côte d'Ivoire

The office in Abidjan will be shared with KHS, Ferrum’s long-standing partner and fellow industry leader. Together, Ferrum and KHS bring decades of global experience, technological innovation, and a deep understanding of market needs. Their close cooperation ensures that customers across Africa will benefit from an integrated approach and premium service.

Côte d'Ivoire was chosen as the base of operations due to its stable economic environment and strong development trajectory. Positioned in the heart of West Africa, the location enables Ferrum to better serve key markets such as Nigeria, Ghana, Angola, and Senegal.

The official opening ceremony of Ferrum Packaging Western Africa was held in Abidjan with Mr. Beat Bühlmann, Executive Chairman of Ferrum, and Mr. Martin Resch, Chief Financial Officer of KHS, cutting the ribbon and speaking about the significance of this milestone for both companies and the African market. Ms. Chantal Kissling, Chief Commercial Officer of Ferrum Packaging, was also present at the event, further demonstrating Ferrum’s strong leadership commitment to the African expansion. While Mr. Matteo Mattmann, Managing Director of the new subsidiary, addressed the gathering and emphasized Ferrum's excitement about the opportunities ahead, as well as the company’s dedication to contributing to the region's growth.
